Sidd Nambiar, PhD
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
Siddhartha (Sidd) is a postdoctoral research fellow with the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare. He applies systems engineering and operations research to improve health outcomes and operational efficiency. His research agenda lies at the intersection of operations research, health systems engineering and health policy & management. Previously, he has used tools and concepts from data science, simulation modeling (agent-based, discrete-event, and monte-carlo), and stochastic modeling to predict outcomes associated with diseases and health conditions like sepsis, diabetic retinopathy, colorectal cancer, and mental health. Sidd’s work has been funded from agencies including the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He holds a doctorate in Industrial Engineering while specializing in Health Systems Engineering from North Carolina State University. In his free time, Sidd enjoys gaming on his PC, working on his limited culinary skills, and exploring unique new locations through road trips.
