Sacha Burn

Sacha is a master’s-trained human factors specialist and board-certified ergonomist. Her career has focused on research and strategies surrounding optimizing caregiver workflow and efficiency with the integration of electronic medical records (EMRs) and participating in the design and development of tools and software designed to reduce human error and improve patient safety. At the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare, she leads a number of educational initiatives, including academic programs and Human Factors Grand Rounds, and manages research related to quantifying efficiencies gained through shareable clinical decision support resources.

Sacha is affiliated with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Center for Health Design, the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics, and sits on the Ergonomics Committee of the American Industrial Hygiene Association. Sacha holds a Master of Science in ergonomics and biomechanics from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in human factors and ergonomics from Cornell University.
