Deanna-Nicole Busog
Deanna-Nicole Busog is a research analyst at the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare. As a research analyst, she supports several ongoing grants and contracts at the center, including work funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), D.C. Department of Health, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Patient Safety Authority (PSA). Deanna has supported research involving clinical decision-support development for chronic pain management and sepsis detection, electronic medication administration record redesign to improve patient safety, exploration of the use of the electronic health record to identify and develop public health reporting measures, device evaluation to support the early detection of COVID-19, development of training resources to help inform healthcare and improve screening and treatment of pregnant and parenting individuals with opioid use disorders, as well as evaluation of clinical workflow for the implementation of a tablet-based, patient-reported sexually transmitted infection screening process in the emergency department for adolescents. Deanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Catholic University of America. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and baking.
